Vice President Education
Sally Boyd, DTM

Sally joined Toastmasters in January 2016. A few months later, she was elected VPE, and with the exception of a few months in 2017, has been an officer with Spirited Speech Masters ever since. She served as Club Coach for Houston Methodist in 2017, and then became Area Director for Q54, finishing the year as a Select Distinguished Area and earning her Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) award. In the 2018-2019 TM year, Sally served as Division N Director as well as President of SSM, ending the year as Presidents Distinguished Club and Division. These awards happened with the help of two awesome teams that worked together to attain these goals!

Joann Hester, CC

The immediate attraction to Toastmasters was the fact that feedback was provided by any member and officially by the assigned evaluator. As relationships blossom along the way, the community is what keeps me anchored, valued and a source for helping others.

Vice President Public Relations
Loni Huff

At the end of 2018, Loni volunteered to help facilitate regular team-building sessions within the IS division for groups of up to 40. As a systems analyst and an introvert, this type of activity fell well outside of her typical purview. Determined to acquire the skills necessary to be successful as a facilitator, she took the welcome advice of another trainer and joined Toastmasters at the start of 2019. In the time since she joined, she has grown more comfortable and confident when speaking with and in front of others. In July of 2019, she was elected Spirited Speech Masters' Vice President of Public Relations. She currently maintains the chapter web site and seeks to proclaim the benefits of Toastmasters to anyone who will listen!
